A traditional Indian dowry cabinet crafted in solid timber and reinforced with hand-forged iron strapping. These chests were historically used to store textiles, jewellery and household items that formed part of a bride’s dowry.

The cabinet features a beautifully weathered patina developed through age and use, with simple vertical iron bands adding both strength and character. Raised on turned legs, the piece has a strong architectural presence while retaining the rustic charm typical of traditional village craftsmanship.

Both practical and sculptural, it works equally well as a storage chest or statement console.
