Baden Croft

Incoming, 2026
Oil on canvas
150 × 140 cm

In Incoming, Baden Croft explores the meeting point between the natural world and abstraction. Intertwining branches and expressive marks create a dense, shifting composition, where electric blues and deep blacks contrast with flashes of burnt orange and coral.

The painting captures a moment of movement and transformation, with the landscape appearing to twist and unfold across the canvas. Balancing recognisable forms with a more visceral treatment of colour and gesture, Incoming evokes the energy of nature in flux, suggesting something arriving just beyond the viewer’s reach.
