Part of Hyett’s Echinopsis tubiflora series, this work isolates the dramatic bloom of the night-flowering cactus against a saturated blue ground. Layers of spray paint, acrylic, enamel and oil stick create a luminous central form, with drips and radiating gestures suggesting the fleeting energy of the flower at full bloom.
